ABOUT THE BOOK
When was the last time you put yourself first – and not just for an hour or two, but truly prioritized yourself and what is important to you? Your response to that question probably evoked a bit of discomfort; maybe even guilt.
Moms often put the needs of others above their own, “serving” everyone else around them. Yet when done too often over time, constantly serving the needs of others can result in high levels of stress, burnout, and resentment.
Must moms choose between being a “good mom” and achieving the goals they want for themselves? How do you cut through all the chaos, identify what is important, and learn to let go of things that aren’t serving you well?
In Moms Eat First: 5 Principles to Prioritize Yourself and Create the Change You Crave, Kathy explores five key principles to create and sustain change and shares potential solutions to overcoming barriers. Are you ready to elevate yourself?

PRAISE
“As a working mom and self-proclaimed people pleaser, Kathy’s coaching has given me the time and space to reflect on my current and desired future path. I realized that the expectations I had held for myself were unrealistic and not aligned with my long-term goals. With her encouragement, I could set boundaries with my time and refocus on the people and goals that were truly important to me. Kathy’s keen and kind observations empowered me to let go of behaviors that no longer served me.”
–Consulting Director, Professional Services Company and Working Mom
“Working with Kathy as my leadership development coach helped me take a realistic view of all that I am and all that I do. For the first time in a long time, I was able to see myself not just through the lens of my obligations, but as an individual, with my own needs and wants, my own dreams and goals. Getting back to basics – defining and affirming my personal values, remembering my aspirations from way back when, and finding inner strength and power – led me to a clear vision of the life I want. Kathy has been a true partner on my journey to self-rediscovery and to the life I want and deserve.”
–Vice President, Financial Services Company and Working Mom
“As I reflect on our time together, I realized that prior to our engagement, I was going through motions, prioritizing others’ needs before mine and not recognizing that to be fulfilled as a person, I needed more from myself and to do that I needed to focus on myself and what I wanted out of my career and frankly out of life. My professional journey was so rooted in what I needed to do for others, that it felt unnatural to shift focus to what I needed to do for myself…. Now, I am focusing on the things that matter most to me, my family, and my personal life, without compromising. I am allowing others to step up and step into situations that previously I thought I could only handle at work and making room for their growth both personally and professionally. The most important learning from our sessions was focused on me, the person, not what I do but what I want to do.”
